Outcome goals for this academic school year

Area: Reading 

Goal

  • The percentage of Multilingual Learners in grades 1-3 who demonstrate appropriate progress in WIDA language acquisition will increase by 10% from spring 2024 to spring 2025.
  • By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, our black student subgroup will increase proficiency on the end of year Reading SOL by 10%.
  • By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, our student with disabilities subgroup will increase proficiency on the end of year SOL by 10%.
  • The percentage of students who pass the Grade 3 Reading SOL will increase by 10% from spring 2024 to spring 2025.

Strategies

  • Increase opportunities for English Language Development through use of embedded strategies during whole group instruction and intentional small group instruction focused on specific student needs.
  • Increase efficiency of instructional delivery to ensure all students have daily access to all components of the language arts block as outlined in the new core curriculum.
  • Increase use of data to plan instruction and monitor progress during intervention to ensure that students demonstrating risk master foundational skills.
  • Focus on rigorous academic preparedness and student agency using the College and Career Readiness Framework.

Area: Math 

Goal

  • By the end of the 2024-25 school year the percentage of students with disabilities passing the G 3-6 Mathematics SOL will increase 10%.
  • By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, students in grades 1-6 will demonstrate expected screener within year growth (iReady) of 10%.
  • By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, students in grades 3-6 will increase proficiency on the end of year Mathematics SOL by 10%.
  • By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, students in grades Pre K-K will increase proficiency on the spring math screener benchmark (EMAS) by 17%.

Strategies 

  • Improve teachers’ implementation of Framework for Engaging & Student-Centered Mathematics Instruction.
  • Increase teachers' content knowledge and implementation of the 2023 FCPS mathematics program of studies.
  • Increase students' self-efficacy around the ability to be successful in mathematics.

Area: Student Group

Goal

  • By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, our SWD subgroup will increase proficiency on the end of year reading SOL by 10%
  • By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, our Black Student subgroup will increase proficiency on the end of year reading SOL.

Strategies 

  • Leverage use of daily, explicit language comprehension lessons from the new core curriculum for building knowledge and vocabulary.
  • Use embedded formative assessments in the new core curriculum to guide tier 1 and tier 2 instructional decisions..

Area: Socio-Emotional Learning & Wellness

Goal

  • By the end of the 2024-25 school year the percentage of students who feel they are a valued member of our school community will increase by 7 %.

Strategy

  • Identified time in the master schedule is used to implement required SEL practices with fidelity to improve student perceptions of belonging and SEL skills. (MM & CC- ES or RAM- MS/HS, 3 Signature Practices- All).
